15 minutes driving, we reached my school and two buses were already in view. As well as the students and six other guru pengiring. Sai and his company arrived few seconds later. At exactly 6.30am, the trip began.
I sat at the front seat with Rini. Along the way, I couldn't beat the tiredness in me and stole winks of sleep in the bus. Few hours later, we stopped at Selangau and had our breakfast there before another 2 hours journey to reach the destination. There were holes all over the road from the junction to Mukah, all along Selangau to Tatau. But, that never failed my sleepy eyes from attempts to sleep.
At 10.30, we reached Bintulu at last. We stopped at the bus terminal, because the other bus went to have its air-cond fixed. We walked to Farley Supermart and had lunch at Gary's friend's restaurant, Impiana Restaurant. It was a treat from him, but unfortunately, I only had a sip or two of its Seafood Tom Yam when suddenly, the bus was ready to leave 30 minutes earlier than as promised.
Next stop was, Pasar Tamu Bintulu. Best known for its fresh fish and sea products, especially the shrimp paste, famously known as belacan. I dare to say that no other belacan can beat the Bintulu-mades. However, I didn't made any purchase there (actually, I didn't even get down from the bus), because of the heavy downpour.
From the busy market and road, the bus took its route to Park City Mall, the largest shopping mall here in Bintulu. I've been looking forward to come here, because of Nose shoes store only. I bought myself a cute shoes, from its best buy range. An hour later, we left for Tanjung Batu Beach.
I was excited to go to the beach, as it has been ages since my last stroll at one. I was amongst the ones who led the way and quickly took snapshots of myself and the beautiful surroundings. The seawater, the sand, the wave sound and the rocks, I took photos wth almost anything I saw there. The students were playing with the water happily, because they weren't allowed to take a dip.
Next, to Taman Tumbina which is located just a few kilometres away from the beach. We started our walk up the hilly lanes with happy voices and faces. After a few steps, everyone made a few stops and took deep breaths, before continued. We went to the bear cage and to Manai's (tiger) cage. I was amazed to see Manai, because he was huge and he has really a beautiful skin! He was resting then and we took snaps of him. Then, we went to see the ostrich, and I had my nerve-wrecking moment, capturing pictures of them.
We continued downhill to enjoy the greenery. I found myself at peace at the park and the smell of the faunas was relaxing. It was a wonderful experience indeed and personally, I think Taman Tumbina is better than Bukit Cerakah.
We rested a while at the entrance and took a group photo, before we headed to the Masjid As-Syakirin (not sure of the spelling) for the Muslims to have their solats. The rest, we went to tapau our dinner, because by the time we reached Sibu, it would be time for a late dinner already, and we wouldn't be stopping at Selangau this time.
We left for Sibu at 4.15pm.
I slept on the way and was awaken to see an accident happened somewhere around Tatau. A motorcycle was BADLY hit by a twin cab. From what I saw, the motorcyclist must be EXTREMELY hurt. He went into the drain and the motorcycle was almost becoming pieces. By the way, the twin cab was from the opposite direction. So, what's your guess?
Reaching SMK. Lanang, awaiting parents' cars were already in lines to fetch their kids. I wasted no time, got into my car and drove away. At home, after shower, I watched Man. Utd. vs Everton online on Yahoo! and went straight to bed after the final whistle. The game ended 1-1 by the way.
I was really tired but happy. Not only that I got myself a pair of tired feet, a Nose shoes and a benjol on my forehead.
Where's d pics? would love to c some of them...
