The Most Beautiful I've Seen By Far

To begin with, yes I had fun.

Stayed overnight at my sister's place feeling like staying until Christmas hehehe.. The next day we rushed our way to Shah Alam and rushed our make ups and do for the church. It was indeed a beautiful wedding.

The night finally came, and it was during the third dish when Kevin asked me o get ready. When my name was called I wasn't nervous, but the most difficult things to do is holding back tears of joy when you had to deliver a speech for a best friend's on her special day. So I just uttered whatever crossed my mind that night, despite the fact that I held the paper and looked like I was reading from it. But, not really.

So this is the original speech. Please note that it's the FIRST draft written (no editing) and surprisingly enough, I didn't take long to have it done. I guess it's easy to show your affection to people you really care and love :-)

To Alby (to whom I had handed in the first printed original version) and her husband, Ronny and to all who attended the dinner reception that night. This was what happened between Ronny & Alby so many years ago (hehehe..)

Wedding speech

Good evening all.

My name is Imelda. I was the former roommates to Alby when we were staying in UiTM Shah Alam campus. Then we became housemates in Seksyen 8 with the other four. I have known her since 2002 and at first glance I thought she looked arrogant. Boy did I know we became closer after being roommates in our second semester. She’s indeed one of my best friends until now. We didn’t have a fight but at times we were cold towards each other. However it’s very difficult to hold grudges over Alby because she is ALBY - a person who understands me even before I say something about it.

I knew Ronny since 2002 as well. At that time he was a super senior of CSS+SA. What made us (Alby, other friends and I) became close to know Ronny because of his goofiness. He liked to go around with his teka-teki bodoh just to break the ice amongst us, juniors. He’s also ever helpful with most of the things especially transporting you from CSS House to the bus stop with his famous red bike. It was rare to see this dude in his worst mood. I think I had never seen him frowning. He brings sunshine along with him wherever he goes. Alby is lucky. So, from being friends, Alby and Ronny has developed a romance between them. The rest was history. But I must mention that, the first moment I saw these two became really close to each other, I just knew they are PERFECT for each other. I have kept telling Alby this and she would only smile to it. Come on, the blinds can see their chemistry. Ronny with his constant clowning act and only Alby can play along to that very well. What I meant was, the rest of us would laugh and got pranked by most of Ronny’s jokes but only Alby could mematahkan serangan Ronny. Even though terkena juga sekali-sekala. Haha! I knew this love of theirs would stay on forever. I didn’t think it was love at first sight, and the trust and love they had between them wasn’t nourished and built within seconds. You didn’t want to know how long did it take for these two lovebirds discussing mau declare ka tidak, I was already excited sampai hilang rasa nervous. And when they made their relationship public, I was one of the happiest person in Shah Alam at that time.

So, yes, they sometimes had their rough times together, but what I admire the most was that they didn’t make it obvious amongst their friends and being her roommates, I notice that they tried their best talking to each other about their problems.

Did I mention that CSS+SA is a heaven of matchmaking? Its successful products were here in this hall tonight. And these two lovely couples in the VIP table here, Ronny and Alby.

Before I end my speech, I have messages to both bride and groom.

Ronny, I am ever glad and thankful to know you and be your friends. I am much happier and thankful to know that it’s you whom Alby has chosen amongst many to spend her lifetime with. Take good care of my dear sister.

Alby, you’re one exceptional friend I wouldn’t want to trade with anything. Thank you for the wonderful ups and downs we had shared together. As much as you have become a dearest and good friend to me, I doubt not that you are going to be good and lovely wife, and mother to your kids. I love you both.

So, I propose a toast to the lovely bride and handsome groom of the night, Alby and Ronny, for a wonderful married life and to all of your future plans! Congratulations.

I was proud of myself because I made a speech for a special person in my life. I was proud I didn't write it out of pressure to impress people. What else I wouldn't be boasting about? Hehe
he..

After the reception we had fun partying our style. Alby went lepak in our hotel room telling stories of hours before the wedding. Ladies and gentlemen, just before your wedding, if you're fret that
your dress doesn't fit anymore, you don't look your best, your flowers aren't ready yet, bla bla bla all the small stuff - please don't sweat it out. I tell you, Alby and Ronny had worse than any of yours. Not one incident but a series of them. Thanks for sharing, B!

We drank, gossiped, laughed, reminiscing good days, watching Calvin shocked himself with his own LOUD snoring bla bla bla like we used to. We should do that more often, and with more geng bangas.
Hahahaha! *I miss all of you already*

Here are some pics of the weekend wedding and of course pic of me giving out the speech. *wink*

After the church ceremony

My gorgeous friend.

Speech perhimpunan.

That beauuuutiful dress did not cost her a fortune. Give a shot guessing, but it's only RM100.

Partaaaayyy at the room!

Pillow fighting right after breakfast

And bouquet throwing. You don't want to know who got it. Lucky.
