As One of the Abraham's Descendants, I Believe In Allah.

"Allah is the standard Arabic word for God. While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to "God". The term was also used by pagan Meccans as a reference to the creator-god, possibly the supreme deity in pre-Islamic Arabia.
The concepts associated with the term Allah (as a deity) differ among the traditions. In
pre-Islamic Arabia amongst pagan Arabs, Allah was not the sole divinity, having associates and companions, sons and daughters, a concept strongly opposed by Islam. In Islam, the name Allah is the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name. All other divine names are believed to refer back to Allah. Allah is unique, the only Deity, creator of the universe and omnipotent. Arab Christians today, having no other word for 'God' than Allah, use terms such as "God the Father". There are both similarities and differences between the concept of God as portrayed in the Qur'an and the Hebrew Bible."

I'm amongst thousands of Iban Christians are really really disappointed and frustrated by the said people to ban the use of Allah in Herald Tribune, Injil Iban, or Kitab Suci for the Christians. I would like to express that I have high respect for other religions - Islam, Hindu, Buddha, Kaballah, Baha'i, or even Scientology. All religions are equal and none of them would require its believers to commit sins towards the other mankind. Be it in the same religion as ours, or not. I dare to bet my salary that my next line is the truest statement - religion is never wrong, the people are. I have been growing up, learning the bible and pray to my God (my Christian God, Jesus Christ) in Iban and I refer Him as Allah since I knew who He was to me. And I understand very well that my religion has existed since 2009 years ago somewhere in the Middle East and Allah in fact, is an Arabic word. So, when I heard the decision made by the so-called faithfuls of the other religious groups and leaders, my world and foundation was demolished in front of my very own eyes. Often enough, Islam never annoys me. Yet again, the people do. Especially the leaders of the faith. We just want to adress our God by calling him Allah Taala, the name we've been using since Abraham.
I am really disappointed. Sad. Beyond words. The Malaysian leaders keep thinking with their knee-caps on. You're supposed to put on your effin' thinking cap, dorks!
Then again, who am I. I'm a minor Christian in this "majority" land. UNITED we stand. Kiss my ass.

  3. that wat happens when ppl forget the roots. they DENY the facts that both are ABRAHAM's children. refer to either books, it's the same thing.
it's just FRUSTRATING not to know that our religion is wrong to another religion, but it's FRUSTRATING to be denied the rights to praise n worship OUR God the way we've been doing affectionately since ages!
Maybe some religions shouldnt use the word "GOD" because it's for the English, not for the English-speakers.
