Pak Ali Beli Telur Pecah Sebiji, Paakkk!

Tauk sik main ya? Hahahaha! It was one of my favourite childhood games walaupun permainan ya kedak sikda motif dan strategi pun. Tujuan post malam ini bukan nak promosi Kelab Permainan Tradisional yer..!!
You've got it right. Malaysians are worried of them now. FAKE EGGS.

Since I think most of us would've surfed the net for more info on this, let's skip the part on how it began. And because I was born with Facebook sticking on my face, I keep myself updated with friends' pictures and links on the eggs scam. I was moved to try out an experiment just to kill my curiousity over the safety of the eggs I bought yesterday from a local (and famous) supermarket here. Few months back, I opted for the other brand which is cheaper. I chose the current brand as they're longer lasting and come with nicer packaging too. It's said to be of lower cholesterol content and can stimulate one's immune responses, or helps preventing heart disease & cancer and so on.

Before I started I went through some links posted on Facebook such as these:

I sacrificed two eggs for this rare "ritual". First I broke it to check whether or not the yolk and egg white mix right after that. Answer is NO. However, the yolk is more yellow than the cheaper eggs I'd bought previously.
Note : Tak sengaja terpecahkan kuning telur itu! Hehehe..
Pic might not be clear but the yolk was more yellow.

The second egg then was hard-boiled.
Perfect oval, unlike the genuine ones.

Conclusion : I have doubts, but it won't be fair for the eggs suppliers if I lodge a complaint based on these quick junior-school-like experiment. (I'll try to keep 'investigating' for my own (and family) health's sake).

What I'm saying is, be more alert and wary of this thing and let the people around you be aware of it too. As for me, I had reminded my family not to consume eggs for a while until they're proven safe for consumption.

But what about egg-based food products?

Gggggrrrr!!!
