Reasons Why Helping Palestine Disgusted Me

1. Until you're giving enough civilization to the people in rural areas, I will stick to my so-called philosophy.

2. You can ENCOURAGE people to raise fund, but you CAN'T MAKE them to give some. Why is there suddenly the word "WAJIB" is used for all this nonsense?

3. The more you ask me to do something, the more I'll rebel to it. Even though I want to, but in the end if you keep forcing me, then you'll get NADA out of it.

4. I have done my bits and parts to help Palestine. I wish I could do more, but I think this sending aids thing is blowing out of proportion.

5. Some STUPID people say to me, "Yay, you donated! Go Team Palestine!" I wished I got a plastic cup of acid then.

6. Cliche. Everytime there's a war like this, WE are amongst the ones to pop our heads in the crowd. What happened to the bombing victims? Hurricane victims? If you know what I mean.

7. THIS IS MY MOST LOGICAL REASON.
Refer #4, blowing out of proportion. Wow, what a way to shift people's attention from the sick and failed democracy and endless debate over simple thing like PPSMI! You know, English or BM to teach Science and Maths..

Please note that I'm not DISCOURAGING people to help those in need especially to war-torn countries. Contribute generously, but don't MAKE people to do their parts. Do not smirk your fugly face to those who didn't.
GENEROSITY+MODERATION = something we should master.

I hope my tiny little RM could at least EASE the pain of the Palestinians. Amen.

  1. Agree girl! nothing's wrong with donating...I think the media has misled people with this so called 'wajib' thing. The media here refers to any parties(be it individual, group, etc.) that try to get their name on the world map! They should try Google and see whethet they are being mentioned in the acknowldgement section!

  3. did u hear GAPENA (gabungan penulis sumting sumting la-Google it) made a police report about PPSMI, saying that it's unconstitutional?

They're so scared that everyone will forget how to speak Malay when they learn Maths and Science in English...but it's ironic since most of the members are veterans who studied during British and early post-colonial days when English was the main teaching medium, and they still can become Malay writers..so what are they scared about actually? Are they scared that their book sales will drop because more people can read English and do not have to limit themselves to Malay books anymore?
Very small-minded writers indeed. Gives you an idea of what their writing must have been like.

  4. I actually didnt support PPSMI, because it confuses a lot of teachers (BI, Maths, Science subjects teachers). The way it was carried out kind of burden them. Then there's Buddy Support thingy. WTH.
Even though I support that schools should encourage their students to converse in BI. That is what we should we put our attention on, not whether to agree on teaching the subjects in BM/BI, and in the end the exams are carried out in two languages. Worse is students can answer in BM or half BM an half BI. So what's the point?????
